Recently, we’ve been receiving a number of questions regarding our product range. One of which was, ‘Are your products gelatine-free?’.
Of course, for many ostomates, this information can be very important when choosing which bag will offer the qualities that they need. Gelatine is an extract from the protein collagen found in animal tissues and is therefore generally avoided by people who are following a vegan or vegetarian diet. Likewise, Sikh, Hindu & Jain customs may also require people to try and avoid gelatine products if possible.
To help make things a bit clearer, we’re going to list all of the gelatine-free products in our range below.
Primo

Owing to its name, products in this range all contain an adhesive called Alginate. The Alginate range has been developed to promote skin integrity, absorbs moisture and is also great for helping to heal sore or damaged skin.

Soft Convex
The soft convex range offers plenty of choice and high levels of security. With features including an odour eliminating system, high output bag and hypoallergenic adhesive properties, these bags are available in both pre-cut and cut to fit sizes.

Low Profile Soft Convex
Whilst continuing to offer the same superior flexibility and comfort benefits, our Low Profile Soft Convex range gives you 3.5mm of convexity. An extremely cost-effective product, bags are available in both drainable and closed, tapered edge Hydrocolloid and healing Alginate adhesives.
